Victorian 15ct Yellow Gold Split Pearl Starburst Pendant & Brooch

A striking Victorian split pearl starburst pendant and brooch, dating to circa 1890, designed as a six-ray celestial motif surrounded by graduating star and crescent forms. This versatile jewel features a suspension loop and brooch fitting allowing it to be worn either as a pendant or as a brooch.

The design centres on a luminous natural pearl, with further split pearls radiating outward in a dramatic starburst arrangement. The closed-back setting and sculptural goldwork reflect the Victorian fascination with astronomy, symbolism, and romantic celestial imagery.

Unmarked, as is typical for jewellery of this period, the mount has been professionally tested and confirms 15ct gold, giving the piece its rich, warm tone. A beautifully balanced and wearable antique jewel, equally suited to modern styling or a curated antique collection.
