Edwardian 15ct Yellow Gold Aquamarine & Seed Pearl Brooch
An exquisite Edwardian 15ct yellow gold bar brooch, assayed in Chester in 1915, showcasing the delicate naturalistic motifs characteristic of the late Art Nouveau period. The design centres on a bright, natural aquamarine of approx. 0.35ct, bezel-set in a raised cylindrical collet that gives height and presence to the stone.
Encircling the aquamarine is an elegant openwork wreath formed from twelve creamy-white seed pearls. Two sets of triple leaves are accented with a matching seed pearl which frames the composition on either side, enhancing the brooch’s botanical inspiration and adding symmetry.
The brooch retains its original 15ct gold safety chain, a desirable period feature ensuring secure wear.
